Construction of 14 housing units in Mashimoni, a quarter in the informal settlement of Kibera.
After a big fire over 300 square meters burned down, 160 houses with all property were destroyed. In a participatory planning process, all stakeholders (local chief, community) were involved to achieve maximum acceptance of the project. The 2-storey housing units include sanitary facilities and electricity. TwistBlocks houses offer an attractive, safe and hygienic living environment with fire protection, insulation and temperature management for the residents.
